11 Mind-Blowing Facts You Didn't Know About Final Fantasy XV

8. The Polygon Count Of FF VII, VIII & IX Would Fit Inside FF XV's Four Main Characters

Here's a little mind-blowing maths for you:

The lower polygon counts for the 3D PS1 Final Fantasies tended to allocate up to 1000 polys per character by the time Final Fantasy IX's more articulate models came along, and if you take into account the hulking 100,000 polygons that make up just ONE of FF XV's character models (they have 20,000 per hairpiece), it's easy to combine the entirety of the polygon count across all the 3D PS1 games into that of FF XV's main cast.

Better yet, even Final Fantasy XIV's character models had an average polygon count of 8,000 back in 2013, meaning a host of that game's main players could easily fit into XV's heroes, too.

Mention that, next time anyone's talking about how far video games have come.
