11 Off-Map Video Game Secrets You Won't Believe
6. Morrowind & Cyrodiil - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (2011)
With every Elder Scrolls game, the continent of Tamriel just keeps getting bigger and more fleshed out. 2011's entry introduced the snowy region of Skyrim, which makes for a huge open world stocked to the gills with enough hidden goodies to sate even the antsiest of explorers.
But did you know that Skyrim isn't the only province available to you in The Elder Scrolls V?
In possibly one of the most rewarding uses of the noclip tool in recent times, the player can travel far beyond the normal boundaries of Skyrim's mountain ranges, and if their coordinates are right (yes, it's that accurate), they may just stumble upon virtually the entire region of Morrowind.
It's not textured, of course, and you can't walk on it, but there it is in all its nostalgic glory, exactly where it should be according to the geography of Tamriel.
If that isn't enough for you, you can even find a part of Cyrodiil, too!
The setting of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is in much the same state as Morrowind, though with the added bonus that the iconic White-Gold Tower is partially visible here. Who would have expected that?
One can only speculate why the developers took the time to map out Tamriel so thoroughly here. One thing's for sure, though: it does wonders for your immersion.
