Even up to about a decade ago majorly-played online gaming was the thing of sorcerers, it was possible but a true nightmare - nothing like the accessibility of today. This meant that when you wanted to play games with your pals, you had to go to each others houses and experience actually human interaction. It was a beautiful time when gaming was more closely associated with being a social activity between friends rather than the isolated headset n' controller combo image it suffers from now. There was nothing better than planning a night for all the crew to get together, have a few beers (or y'know, juice) and game the night away laughing and fighting until the cows came home.
