11 Times Video Game DLC Lost Its Mind

When this was first announced, the gaming world went nuts. Videos of people crying, screaming and cheering hit the net quicker than Banjo could throw down Kazooie.

It was long hoped for by fans and heavily speculated that this beloved character would enter the franchise. The relationship between Nintendo and Microsoft was forming, so all signs pointed to it happening - and it did.

A Nintendo Direct teased of the troublesome duo being the next DLC characters, but ultimately trolled us with the Duck Hunt team.

Then the unthinkable happened. Banjo and Kazooie came crashing down onto our screens and proved that any character was on the table when it came to Super Smash Bros.

The pair play beautifully, the music from the original games was remastered, and the beautiful Spiral Mountain was recreated as a wonderfully elaborate stage. It’s a perfect example of a DLC that provides the unexpected and went above and beyond for fans.
