7. The Last Of Us 2

There are two types of people in this world: Those who are open to more The Last of Us after that ending, and those who want it to stand the test of time alone. Still, if Rockstar are quasi-resurrecting John Marston for Red Dead Redemption 2, why shouldn't Naughty Dog carry on where they left off?

Word of a sequel came back in 2014 when some initial character models were leaked by developer Michael Knowland's online CV, then voice actor of character David, Nolan North, straight-up said he "knew [Naughty Dog] were doing a Last of Us 2".

Most recently, during a Naughty Dog livestream promoting the Nathan Drake Collection, team member Josh Scherr accidentally said, "All the facial animation in the Uncharted series was led up by Eric, here... and [on] the first The Last of Us. Uh, did I say the first The Last of Us?”

Whoops. Yes, you did mate, and being Naughty Dog have wrapped up Uncharted 4 for good, we can hopefully expect an update on their next project in 2017.
