11 Video Game Sequels You Didn't Know Were Coming In 2017
5. Assassin's Creed: Empire
Speaking of Assassin's Creed, according to a leak from 4Chan that originally dropped in 2015, Ubisoft are taking the series back its roots.
The leak describes a number of things in regards to the pros of doing away with the increasingly modern settings each subsequent AC took place in, and how this particular Egyptian setting would actually cast you in a time before the Assassin Order and Templars had risen.
A choice quote noted you'll "play as a slave or ex-slave [who] looks a lot like Altair, but with a darker skin. He is not edgy, he's a nobody that barely speaks" as well as saying there are "talks about making a trilogy of this same character."
This all comes after Ubisoft themselves let slip the game was in development at the beginning of October:
With Watch Dogs 2 out in November and Splinter Cell nowhere to be seen, it makes sense that Assassin's Creed will make a grand return after a solid two year gap - hopefully one that means whatever Empire turns into, won't be riddled with bugs.
