11 Video Game Sequels You Didn't Know Were Coming In 2017
4. Lords Of The Fallen 2
Thanks to fairly middling critical reviews, it was very easy to miss out on the original Lords of the Fallen; a game that wore its Dark Souls influences firmly on blood-spattered sleeves, yet did a number of supremely cool things in the process - like 'cashing in' your kills for XP, or risking multipliers if you could make it to the next checkpoint.
For the sequel, developers CI Games actually lost their Executive Producer Tomasz Gop as a shift in tone towards targeting "a wider audience" presumably didn't line up with whatever he had envisioned for the series.
To that end, 2017 will mark three years since the last game, and as its engine was already rock solid, allowing for some tactile hack n' slash combat alongside loot-progression and a ton of item/weapon combos, personally I'm for more, especially as there's no more Dark Souls on the horizon.
