11 Video Games That Have Already Been Delayed In 2021

Continuing the one-two punch of Blizzard delays, Diablo IV was confirmed to have been pushed back alongside Overwatch 2.

As mentioned in the last entry, the publisher has a lot to prove with its upcoming titles, and Diablo IV in particular cannot disappoint.

There was already growing resentment in the fanbase following the announcement of a mobile game, Diablo Immortal, over a full-on fourth instalment, and after the embarrassing Warcraft: Reforged debacle in 2020, confidence in Blizzard being able to do their legacy franchises justice is at an all time low.

Fortunately, the response to Diablo IV has mostly been positive, and it's clear lessons have been learned from past mistakes (including the launch of the third game). Unfortunately, that means the sequel is going to need a bit more time in the oven, and will no longer be launching in 2021.

All is not lost for fans of the series though, as a remaster of the second game, titled Diablo 2: Resurrected, was announced at BlizzConline 2021 for release later this year.
