11 Video Games That Have Already Been Delayed In 2021

Horizon: Forbidden West easily suffered the most low-key delay of any game on this list, to the point where you might not even be aware that the open world sequel had been pushed at all.

When it was unveiled last year, initially it only came with a "2021" tease at the end of the trailer, however in subsequent PS5 sizzle reels, Forbidden West was billed as releasing in "the first half of 2021".

In later trailers though, this had changed to "the second half of 2021." After this caused a bit of confusion, journalist Jason Schreier indeed confirmed that the title had suffered a delay.

In the grand scheme of things though, this shift has been minor. Recently Sony's Jim Ryan stressed that Horizon is on track to release at some point this year, highlighting it in particular (alongside Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Returnal) when asked by an interviewer which exclusives he's confident will hit the PS5 this year.

It's arguably the most anticipated title Sony has coming to its consoles in 2021, so if Ryan turns out to be wrong it'd be a major blow.
