8. Assassin's Creed Unity

The next Assassin's Creed title has just been announced, and already fans of the time period jumping series want to continue the adventures of the Assassins and their ongoing rivalry with the Templars. Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is a big hit for the franchise, and if Unity expands upon what Black Flag did for the series, then even higher expectations are to be expected for this next gen title. From a storyline perspective, it would be simple to create a separate prologue level that introduces the events leading up to Unity. Throwing in a section mentioning Abstergo and expanding upon the present day events (with or without Desmond,) would add an air of mystery to the Unity that would leave gamers wanting more. Unity will only be exclusive to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Some gamers don't like that the next game is abandoning the current gen consoles, and while this move will alienate a number of gamers who are still in the previous generation of consoles, hyping up and marketing a single prologue level that introduces the new setting and protagonist of Assassin's Creed Unity might be enough to get them to finally make the leap towards purchasing a next gen console.
