12 Fantastic Video Games You Must Play Over Summer 2015

6. Bloodborne

The shining jewel in Sony's exclusivity crown is also one of the finest RPGs in recent years. Formed from the genius mind of one Hidetaka Miyazaki, it might not have the build variation of his previous work on the Dark Souls games, but Bloodborne's more story-focussed foray into a curse-ridden village populated by beasts and strange figures is one of his finest. You've most likely heard of Miyazaki's work because of the excruciating levels of difficulty therein, and make no mistake - Bloodborne is absolutely brutal when it comes to doling out the punishment if you're not careful. Luckily there aren't any moments like in the early Souls games when the developers literally just wanted you to die for the sake of establishing a precedent, but sufficed to say, Bloodborne's opening stretch will still separate the gamers from the rest. Thankfully it does ease up thereafter, and the drive to experience the rest of Yharnam is one that'll take you through one of the most enjoyable and elaborately designed game worlds so far.
