Oh dear flip. Developers, please stop having characters declare themselves Gods only to mutate into a form that makes them resemble a character from Todd McFarlane's Spawn. This isn't the 90s anymore, they don't look divine, they look daft.
Dull visual design aside, this fight was just a chore. There was nothing about it that made it feel like a worthy end to the trilogy - it was just another big brute fight in a game that already had its fair share.
This felt like the final insult in an already disappointing sequel that had clearly stopped trying to reach the heights of the previous games in the franchise. After the brilliance of Handsome Jack the Calypso Twins were a huge let down, and this tedious, unchallenging boss fight acted as a final reminder of how far from grace the Borderlands series had fallen.
