12 Nintendo Switch Exclusives - Ranked From Worst To Best
11. Super Bomberman R
Sometimes you come across games that have been pumped out more to capitalise on a console's launch or particular gap in the market, rather than anything more considered. Sometimes it works (just look at how Fortnite's Battle Royale mode has gone from strength to strength), and others... you get half-baked toss like this.
Super Bomberman R is not only ridiculously overpriced - still retailing for a disgustingly high full price at time of writing - but its gameplay doesn't feel expanded upon or worthwhile in any meaningful capacity, outside of tagging on some meaningless cutscenes and the occasional boss battle.
Fundamentally, aside from said battles occasionally having an impressive sense of scale, Super Bomberman R fails to grasp the quintessential fun factor that made the franchise catch on so many years ago.
Its main negative is price vs. content within, as there's no escaping the overall feeling that this being notably threadbare.
