12 Most Satisfying Villain Deaths In Gaming History

2. Edgar Ross - Red Dead Redemption

Cause of Death: Shot to death (a lot) by Jack Marston, the son of famed outlaw John (the protagonist of the game), who was murdered by Ross and his men three years prior. Jack tracks him down to a New Mexico river, where Jack duels with the now-retired Ross, blasting him to pieces. Why It's So Satisfying: Because Ross killed the damn hero of the game, that's why! We were so into John Marston as a character: he was so bada** and so much fun to play as, so when he got brutally cut down, on his own ranch no less, we wanted revenge. Rockstar clearly expected this reaction, and so had the good sense to provide us with a fantastic epilogue, in which we got to mete out bloody revenge against the murderous S.O.B., doing the exact same thing he did to our dear old daddy. Now we just need another Red Dead game with Jack as the protagonist and all will be well. Please, Rockstar?
