There are some little details that absolutely blew players away a decade ago. Characters realistically getting wet when they went in water was one, and clothing that realistically moved in the wind was another.

For the most part, capes and cloaks in games a decade ago looked like characters had a cardboard sheet attached to them, and that wouldn't do for Rocksteady, who wanted to make players feel like they really were Batman, and not a toy version of him.

In order to achieve a cape that flowed realistically in the wind, Rocksteady put one employee on the job, and this poor soul worked exclusively on perfecting Batman's cape for over two years. Considering there was only 40 of them, I suppose the team couldn't exactly spare anyone else.

Still, that one employee's hard work paid off in the end, and The Dark Knight's shimmering cape really did look lovely blowing against the haunting night sky.
