12 Video Games That Are Long Overdue Sequels
2. Dungeon Keeper
Playing the 'bad guy' has never felt so right thanks to Dungeon Keeper and Dungeon Keeper 2, a pair of strategy games focused on being evil, and squashing futile good guys from destroying your dungeon heart. The last time we saw one of these games was 1999, which is far too long ago in everyone's opinion.
We were supposed to have a Dungeon Keeper 3 in development back in 2000, but the forces of evil conspired to cancel it. As a result, Bullfrog Productions faded into the ether and all hope seemed to be lost. Or so we thought.
In an effort to revive the series, the gaming behemoth known as EA took Dungeon Keeper's original tagline too literally, and created one of the greatest abominations in gaming history. The less said about the soulless excuse of a game known as Dungeon Keeper Mobile, the better.
Sadly though, because of that awful endeavour, Dungeon Keeper will likely be committed to the dust bin. If another studio can pry the rights from EA's grubby hands, then we might finally get the sequel this franchise deserves.
