12 Video Games That Are Long Overdue Sequels
7. Ghouls 'N Ghosts
In an age where platformers are seeing a resurgence as digital games on console and PC, it's time for Capcom to dust off Arthur's armour and go fight some... ghouls and ghosts.
The last time anything from the Ghosts 'n Goblins franchise was considered new was 10 years ago, yet that just happened to be another mobile game of long adored series. Though Ghosts 'n Goblins: Gold Knights was adequate, it was a far cry from the games we know and love best.
It's a shame that Arthur has been seen more often as a playable character in fighting games like Marvel Vs Capcom 3 rather than a new game in his own series. After all, Ghouls 'n Ghosts is a game with many memorable elements. The difficulty is legendary, the golden armour is awesome, and the delightfully bad bosses are a menace to defeat. This iconic arcade game is a classic that should be revisited, and not just consigned to appearances on mini versions of retro consoles.
