13 Most Disappointing Video Games Of 2014

13. Driveclub

Oh boy, where to begin? Evolution Studios' online-heavy racer was originally planned as a PS4 launch title, but didn't in fact finally hit stores until almost a year later, with weather elements somehow still not ready and planned to be patched in shortly after release (something which still hasn't happened). The game hit stores on October 7th and was immediately hit with crushing network problems, such that the long-promised "free" PS Plus version of the game had to be delayed, and almost two months on, it still hasn't surfaced. In addition, though the PS Plus version was originally planned to be relatively close to the full retail product, this was changed in development to around 10% of the final game. Even ignoring all this, though, Driveclub just isn't a particularly great game. Sure, it looks nice and given how desperate the PS4 is for a serious racer, it's still roped in plenty of sales, but the depressing lack of tracks and cars combines with shoddy racer AI and disappointing social features (which still aren't completely fixed) to deliver a flop with a considerable thud. By the time the PS Plus version arrives, it's likely few will care enough to actually download it.
