10. The Protagonist (Saint's Row Series)

A vital member of the 3rd Street Saints, Johnny Gat is the hot-headed loudmouth that every gang needs. A massive fan favourite, Gat appears in every game in the Saint's Row series (so far) and serves as the Protagonist's right-hand man when he assumes control of the gang. In a series full of badass characters, Gat still stands out for sheer boldness in the face of death. He's placed on death row following the first game for 387 counts of murder, but is saved during his appeal trial by the returning Protagonist. He then goes on to survive being impaled through the stomach by a sword and still returns later in Saints Row 2 to assist the Protagonist some more. Gat did finally meet his demise in Saint's Row: The Third but was brought back in Saint's Row IV, presumably due to fan outcry. While The Protagonist might be a notoriously tough character (with a customisably-ridiculous accent), he simply can't rival the badassery of Johnny Gat.
