13 Gaming Heroes Who Sucked Next To Their Own Sidekicks
9. The Chosen Undead (Dark Souls)
Dark Souls can be a lonely experience for some; the Chosen Undead can completely ignore the various characters also living in Lordran if they so wish. Missing out on Solaire's story arc would be a massive shame though it's easily one of the best storylines to run through Lordran's hostile environment. Solaire is a member of the Warriors of Sunlight and has come to Lordran to "find his sun". Remarkably cheerful in this bleak world, Solaire is easy to warm to and you'll grow to love his intermittent appearances. He'll also aid you against some of the game's bosses, and helping him to complete his quest (try not to cry) will make him available for the final showdown with Lord Gwyn. Engaging in jolly co-operation with Solaire is one of Dark Souls' many highlights and he's a great sidekick to your undead self; never again will you have to feel alone in the darkness. All together now praise the sun!
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
