13 Things We Learned At The Video Game Awards 2015

4. Konami Insist On Being The Worst Company Ever With Hideo Kojima

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKl5rYdwM6c First they deny him access to his own award at the recent PlayStation Experience (getting two no-named PR execs to pick it up instead), and now - as Kojima is still under company contract at the moment, they forbade him to attend the ceremony he was supposed to be a judge on. Good on host Geoff Keighley though, he took to the stage and rather publicly called out Konami's actions (as he should, they're ridiculous) stating,
"Mr. Kojima had every intention of being with us tonight, but unfortunately he was informed by a lawyer representing Konami just recently that he would not be allowed to travel to tonight's award ceremony to accept any awards. He€™s still under an employment contract and it€™s disappointing."
The final instalment in one of the most legendary franchises in gaming history, and the guy who started it all isn't allowed to accept his award, seemingly because of some personal spat with Konami's higher-ups? That's pretty low, especially after all the P.T./Silent Hills stuff.
