13 Unconfirmed (But 100% Happening) Upcoming Video Games
8. Borderlands 3
Though Borderlands 3 hasn't been formally announced yet, the game's existence isn't much of a secret, what with Gearbox flat-out saying they were ready to start production in 2015, and revealing an Unreal Engine 4 tech demo in March 2017 which is widely believed to be a proof-of-concept for the highly-anticipated sequel.
People love the franchise, so the only surprising thing here is that it's taken Gearbox so long to get a sequel off the ground, considering that Borderlands 2 released back in late 2012.
Predicted Release Date: This probably isn't too far off, with a reveal potentially coming later in the year or at E3 2019. Take-Two recently stated that a "highly anticipated" new game has been delayed into the 2020 fiscal year, and if that's Borderlands 3, it means fans should expect it to drop between April 2019 and March 2020.
That sounds in line with sensible expectations, and given the series' preference for October releases, October 2019 feels right.
