One of the longest prevailing issues with the Call of Duty franchise is the depressingly low player loads in the multiplayer mode. While the majority of match types can just accommodate a depressingly low 12 players, it's only Ground War which can allow up to 18 players to team together. Considering that the Battlefield franchise boasts epic 64-player battles, and has even managed this on the same hardware as CoD, it's pretty embarrassing that Activision haven't pushed this as a priority with their developers. While a 64-player CoD game would probably be too much given the more frantic pace of the series, what about 32-player matches? It would be a great way to up the stakes online, and frankly, it's something that should have happened years ago.
