7. Skate Fans Get Their Hearts Broken (Again)
E3 was a traumatic time for fans of the Skate franchise, because in the week leading up to the expo, EA switched the Skate 3 servers back on for the first time in several years, raising hopes high that the long-awaited Skate 4 would finally be revealed during their E3 conference.
But alas, it didn't happen, making it seem like an especially cruel move by EA, who would surely appreciate what they'd be implying by turning Skate 3's servers back on at that time.
The second and more brutal disappointment came during Microsoft's E3 conference, where a new skating game was debuted bearing a suspicious similarity to Skate, which nevertheless turned out to be an entirely new Kickstarter-backed IP called Session.
It looks neat enough, sure, but it's just not Skate 4, is it? Fans have waited long enough, EA: just make it happen.
