14 Awesome Summer 2017 Video Games You Probably Missed

3. Statik

Perhaps best described as VR's answer to Portal, Statik is a fiendishly clever puzzle game in which the player is forced to examine their surroundings in order to figure out the key to a series of puzzle boxes.

As far as VR games go, few have such a convincing feeling of presence, with the DualShock 4 controller representing the puzzle-box, and each button on the controller corresponding to a function on the box.

The obscurity of the puzzle's solutions can sometimes verge on frustrating, but as long as you pay close attention to everything in the room, you'll be able to figure them out eventually.

If too many of the PSVR's titles to date have been criticised for being overly simplistic "experiences", Statik is one of the headset's smartest and most visually impressive titles to date.
