One of the most pleasant surprises about the Nintendo Switch so far has been the sheer number of entertaining indie titles that have made their way onto the hit platform, one of the best of which is side-scrolling shooter Graceful Explosion Machine.

A simple but effective, highly addictive and visually stunning shooter, GEM lacks a compelling story or particularly challenging level of difficulty, but for score-attack fiends, attempting to one-up your own rampage is a whole lot of fun.

An eargasmic musical score and interesting use of the Switch's divisive HD rumble further sweeten the deal for this unassuming little indie shooter you probably didn't even realise came out way back in April.
