14 Forgotten Video Game Franchises That Desperately Need Sequels
10. Dino Crisis
As Jurassic World proved, people will watch any old toss if its filled with a cavalcade of body-ripped dinosaurs - and as such, just imagine a next-gen Dino Crisis. It'd be glorious. Capcom are starting to pull back fan-fervour following the gung-ho Resident Evil 6, and coming after Revelations 2, it'd be the perfect time to take this newer game engine and apply it to a context that'd breath a new lease of life into survival horror. After all, who didn't positively cack their shorts when the T-Rex started bolting after you in the original Dino Crisis demo? There's just something about the immense power of such prehistoric creatures that more than makes them formidable foes, regardless of if you're up against a hulking 'Rex, a pack of Raptors, or even those tiny green things from Jurassic Park 3. The Dino Crisis games did get a couple of sequels, the first retaining a very high mark of quality, only for the second to jump-ship onto Xbox and ruin all the brand loyalty built up beforehand. Following that, Capcom abandoned all hope, but as a game that mixes spectacle with just the right amount of sci-fi and locations built to explore as they're equally terrifying, a new Dino Crisis would be sublime.
