14 Most Hotly Anticipated Gaming Sequels Of 2014

4. Oddworld: New N' Tasty

oddworld-abes-odysee If I said to you hello, follow me, and then farted, what would you do? If you answered guffaw, you're a person who's played Abe. If you're not, you probably think I'm in need of some serious help and are phoning the nice men in big white coats. A classic of the 90's, the Oddworld games were almost revolutionary 2D puzzle games that were lightyears ahead of the time in terms of interaction, level design and challenging gameplay. After a hiatus of far too long, Oddworld is returning very soon this year with New N' Tasty, a sort-of remake of the original game that should (hopefully) bring back Abe from the lost cupboard of gaming characters. Is there a place for Abe in today's busy AAA gaming landscape? I'd say yes, particularly with the recent surge in the popularity of indie games. It'll never be as big as Call of Duty, but it'll be ten times as awesome if the developers actually manage to pull this one off. I'm really looking forward to saving all of the mudokons from a hideous fate once more. After of course I've killed them several times by accidentally dropping them down a pit or attacking them with a meat grinder or something, of course.
