3. The Witcher III: Wild Hunt
Another technical showcase for next-gen gaming, the Witcher III may be the biggest open world gaming release since Skyrim dominated our lives and had us shouting FUS-RO-DA at everything in sight. The first in the series to go fully open world, the gameplay, graphics and everything in between that have been so far show a game that looks very appealing indeed. The Witcher series has always been an exceptional RPG experience; they're much more mature and well told than most RPG games with a focus on character development and storyline rather than metaphysical nonsense (I'm looking at you, Final Fantasy). You know how you thought Skyrim was massive? The Witcher 3 is about 20% bigger than Skyrim's vast girth and - according to the developers - will deliver 100 hours + of gameplay from storyline and sidequesting. It's also packed full of stuff to do with unique quest lines, character progression and extremely dynamic, fluid combat that looks like an actual cutscene but really is a part of the game. Save up your pennies for the Witcher III. You won't regret it.
