I can't be the only one looking at STEEP and hoping, praying there's something of a worthy contender to the SSX lineage in there, right?

Although Ubisoft are building a game that lets you choose between snowboarding, wingsuits, paragliding and skiing, we've not seen any major title journey back up to some frosty-tipped alps since 2012's naff SSX reboot.

To differentiate itself somewhat, STEEP appears to be entirely focussed on multiplayer, tasking you with recording the most intense and death-defying lines you can pull off, before challenging your friends and the world to keep up. To that end, it could go either way; gameplay won't be solid enough for such a threadbare premise to take hold, or its 'drop in/drop out' feel will become the next Rocket League.

Here's hoping it's the latter.
