14 Most Disappointing Video Games Of 2018 (So Far)
1. Vampyr

And finally, we come to Life is Strange devs Dontnod Entertainment's action RPG Vampyr, which touts an intriguing premise and gameplay loop - get to intimately know the local townsfolk, and then drink their blood for maximum experience points - though sadly doesn't do much with it.
The much-criticised combat is the game's main major gripe: it's so woefully naff it's a shame Dontnod even bothered with it in the first place, and the infuriatingly cheap, needlessly difficult boss fights don't much help either.
That's to say nothing of the abundance of glitches and general technical jank, and a narrative that runs out of steam rather quickly. There are neat ideas here, but you'll need a saintly amount of patience to push through past the first few hours.
