6. EA's Usual Shenanigans - Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Respawn Entertainment's new Star Wars game has yet to be formally unveiled ahead of its holiday release window, but rumours consistently point to it being primarily a single-player narrative experience that may or may not have a multiplayer component.

On paper that sounds great, but EA being EA, and EA having spectacularly bungled their ownership of the Star Wars license to date, it's incredibly difficult to give them the benefit of the doubt here.

As certain as the sun will rise tomorrow, EA may well find a way to inject predatory micro-transactions into the game or simply deliver an unsatisfactory amount of launch content.

Titanfall's Respawn is a developer of some pedigree, but this sadly wouldn't be the first time that EA has acquired a talented yet commercially flailing developer and run them into the ground.
