14 Worst Video Games Of 2019
4. The Stadia Launch Lineup
I have to mention Stadia, because... well, no one else will.
According to the latest data showing only a paltry 19,000 people are playing the Stadia version of Destiny 2 - i.e. a flagship title for the platform, and a free one at that - it seems like the player numbers are disastrously small for the service overall.
Alongside the fact the platform has no key appeal, is the realisation that everything you can play, will be demonstrably worse than the console version.
While the Switch version of Mortal Kombat 11 might run at a lower resolution, at least it will be consistent at that resolution, and won't have any lag.
Conversely, the Stadia versions can falter immensely based on your internet connection, and visuals can go from pristine HD to smushes of pixellated nothingness, back to clarity again. In fighting games or anything requiring responsiveness i.e. literally all video games, it constantly gets in the way of enjoyment.
In short, Stadia is a disaster, and if you were on the fence as to whether "it actually works", know that right now, it most definitely does not.
