9. Call Of Duty: Black Ops II (2012, PS3 & 360) - 27.62 Million
As you'll find looking across any high-selling lists, Call of Duty is a mainstay across the board, and why? Because - although detractors really don't want to admit it - it's by far the most consistent and best-'feeling' military shooter out there. Whatever inbuilt need we have for tactical insertion methods, spawn-camping and ventilating each other with bullet holes a few hundred times a second can be seen and quantified through COD's annual sales. As mentioned earlier, the franchise's identity is in a bit of disarray after continuing down the path this instalment first started, but Black Ops II would also be the last COD to feature an awesome, branching story, alongside really cool character upgrades and an aesthetic that - at the time - was pretty revolutionary.
