4. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Admittedly, not for everyone - but this game is a must-play because if you do
happen to like it, then you're going to be hooked for a least a month. And if you don't like it, it makes a great gift. Since this installation of the series has you as the mayor, that opens up more things to do. For example, you can begin Public Works Projects which include bridges, street lights, police stations and so on. You can also enact Town Ordinances which affect how your town behaves. You can make your shops stay up later or open earlier, you have all the power here. Overall, a very cute and entertaining experience. The new Island in the game makes gathering bells easy (a bit too
easy perhaps) and there's certainly more to do here than in Tomodachi Life.
