Destinys multiplayer
Bungie

Say what you want about Destiny, but in the two years since the game hit shelves, Bungie's dev team has turned the fledgling shooter into the sci-fi opus it was always supposed to be. And taking into account all of the title's expansions (as well as general tweaks to the core gameplay), then Destiny in 2016 is one of the most expansive first-person multiplayer experiences that you could get your hands on.

With raids, strikes and general missions all being able to be completed with friends, you need to be playing Destiny in co-op if you want to make the most out of what the game has to offer. Working as a team to gain experience and grab the best loot, there's a brilliant sense of progression and a rhythm to the game that even somehow makes replaying missions over and over again fresh and fun.

And that's without even mentioning the PvP arena element that takes classic multiplayer game modes and integrates them into your single-player experience.

Destiny's pure gunplay gets its time to shine when you're up against other human players, and the addition of class-specific special moves and specialities does just enough to keep combat feeling fresh compared to its peers.
