15 Horrifying Video Game Easter Eggs You Totally Missed

6. GTA IV €“ The Secret Of Lady Liberty

Ever since the GTA series went full 3D and brought in its huge, expansive maps, there have been urban myths and legends about creepy stuff you can find in-game. Sometimes, however, the truth is creepier than the rumours €“ like in GTA IV. This particular easter egg concerns the Statue of Liberty €“ or to give it it€™s proper in-game name, the Statue of Happiness. Why is it called this? Well, instead of a normal expression, the Statue of Happiness wears an eerie, disturbing, inhuman leer on her face. That€™s a creepy start, but it only gets more so up close. When you actually reach the island (which is impossible on foot), the upper level of the base contains a door which has a sign saying €œNo Hidden Content This Way€. If you think that€™s enough to put off GTA players €“ well, you haven€™t met GTA players. Inside the door is a ladder leading inside the statue - and inside the statue is a giant, glowing, beating heart suspended by chains. Why is it there? Nobody knows. All we know for sure is you can€™t kill it €“ because let€™s face it, everyone who found it tried to.
