Instant games of Mario Kart anywhere on Earth can only be a phenomenal thing, and for the Switch's Deluxe Edition, Nintendo are revamping the Battle Mode to allow for dual items, though the vast majority of the package is the same as that of the Wii U.

The Deluxe Edition also includes all previously paid-for DLC, and being the Mario Kart formula has been perfect for over 20 years at this point, grabbing any edition on the Switch is a no-brainer.
