15 Hotly-Anticipated Nintendo Switch Games Coming In 2017

Stardew Valley isn't exclusive to Switch, but if you're yet to be overtaken by its gorgeously inviting charms and endlessly rewarding gameplay loops, it'll be a perfect 'play 24/7, both at home and on the go' game.

On its face a farming sim, under the hood there's a far more complex beast at play, as developer Eric Barone was sick of Nintendo's Harvest Moon games never recapturing that same spark the old school originals had in spades, so he set out to create his own.

As a result, Stardew Valley is a very relaxing game about farming, but also dungeon crawling and Animal Crossing-style village bonding. There's also a solid quest/reward system (through a bulletin board for monsters to slay in the local mine/dungeon) and you're given far more purpose and immediacy when it comes to what to do than in any of Nintendo's titles.

The sort of game with the kind of heart only an independent philosophy could produce, Stardew Valley is a place everyone should visit once in their lives.
