15 Insanely Underrated PS4 & Xbox One Games You Must Play

12. Star Wars Battlefront

Supremacy Star Wars Battlefront

Yeah, yeah, I understand the hate that rightly gets shoved at Star Wars Battlefront. I was there day one too, disappointed after splashing full price on EA's first foray into the legendary franchise and, like many others, felt completely burned by the complete lack of content the game had to offer.

But judging the game on what it got right (and after a year of content updates and a severe price-drops) and Battlefront stands up as a pretty decent shooter in its own right. Completely nailing the Star Wars aesthetic and having some rather solid gunplay to boot, jumping into a couple of matches online every now and then can be an absolutely joy.

And while only being able to enjoy the game in small bursts seems like a negative, I think that's actually what DICE and EA were going for with Battlefront. The title is clearly geared towards a more casual target audience, and combined with the lack of unlock progression, it's clear that this Star Wars game is one you're supposed to be playing in short bursts, not binging over a weekend.

Although that's not what many fans were wanting from this reboot, it doesn't make it a terrible approach in its own right. Because ultimately, playing Battlefront can be an amazing experience - it's just that it's an experience best felt in between other games.
