12. Wesker's Voice Performance Was Inspired By The Jungle Book

Here's a fantastically strange one. Albert Wesker's voice actor, Richard Waugh, actually took influence for the character's intonation and delivery from Shere Kahn in The Jungle Book.

He stated in an interview:

"My kids were toddlers at the time and we had been watching a lot of Disney films. As soon as I read Wesker I thought: Wouldn't it be cool to have this military-type have a really cultured, chocolaty voice like George Sanders in The Jungle Book. Wesker is basically my version of Shere Khan."

It must be said that this performance didn't come into effect until Resident Evil: Code Veronica, but Waugh would play Wesker a number of other times, before being replaced by D.C. Douglas, who holds the position to this day (providing the character gets resurrected, as many suspect).
