15 Most Anticipated Video Games Of 2018

9. Metro: Exodus

Metro Exodus
4A Games

From the atmospheric, survival horror-inspired Metro 2033 to the more action-oriented Last Light, the post-apocalyptic Metro franchise from the developers at 4A games has been home to some of the most underrated shooters of the past decade.

Creating a richly terrifying dystopian landscape for players to shoot and sneak their way through, the upcoming Exodus looks to be expanding on the series' signature setting, introducing open sandboxes for players to explore and even more beasties to go toe to toe with.

Likewise, although most of the previous games were spent in drab subway stations under Moscow (thanks to the surface being far too hostile to traverse for long periods of time), the latest game looks to be prioritising this dangerous landscape and moving away from the claustrophobic underground.

With the success of the remasters of the previous titles as well as embracing story-driven FPS games, hopefully Exodus will gain more attention than the other criminally-overlooked releases.
