15 Most Hilariously Written Video Games Of All Time
5. Saints Row The Third
Choice Quote: "D*ck move, unicorn. D*ck move" - The Boss. It's a toss-up between The Third and part IV in terms of which is funnier, as the latter was already building on one of the most preposterously fun titles that's ever come out of the GTA formula, but it's precisely because that game got everything so right that it reigns supreme. Single-handedly resurrecting and pioneering a new direction for the series, Saints Row The Third took what was commonly looked down upon as 'just another GTA' and ran with it. The most asinine parts of San Andreas that put other people off - such as the jetpack - were made the blueprint for what to expect, giving us a flurry of memorable levels where an early one sees you skydiving out of a airliner whilst shooting random enemies, and a boss fight is a tribute to professional wrestling where you take on a masked wrestler called Killbane. Add to that a final mission where Bonnie Tyler's I Need a Hero blares out underneath your actions to save one of two partners, and developers Volition had finally found a series that can actually contend with Rockstar's finest.
