Have you even heard of Singularity? It's rare a game comes out to almost zero coverage, with nothing in retrospect that looks back saying "Hey you need to check this out" or anything of the sort - it's all a bit strange.

Anyway, the phenomenal Raven Software (them of Marvel's X-Men Legends and Ultimate Alliance fame) turned their attention to a first-person shooter back in 2010, delivering not only some brilliant physics-manipulation combat that saw you upgrading your signature Time Manipulation Device (TMD) throughout (leading to an unbelievably satisfying power-trip at the close of the game) but also a time-bending story that harbours one of the sweetest twists in years.

It's just one of those really meaty, viscerally satisfying shooters with a killer alternate-reality premise and some unique time-manipulation powers that let you bend parts of the environment to your will depending on if you're advancing or regressing them through existence, alongside blowing apart enemy soldiers in the most satisfyingly varied amount of ways since Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy.
