15 Things Only Video Game Completionists Will Understand

7. The Grind Is Real

At some point, every single completionist will be faced with a tremendous grind from a game. Gears of War has almost made it a point to throw in a grind for gamers with its "Seriously 2.0" and "Seriously 3.0" achievements. If you've ever played a LEGO game for nothing but the achievements, then you know how much of a grind those can be, too. There's an achievement in Bejeweled 2 (of all things) for completing 280 levels, which some have locked in over 170 hours to get. Grinding in games is so far from enjoyable, it will actually kill games for some people. I, for one, will never be able to look at LEGO Batman the same way again because of the experience I had completing that game fully. Really, any completionist will be able to tell you a horror story about a grind they had to go through simply to get one achievement. I played the same level in Peggle 2 over and over, day after day, to complete one objective... 240 times. In the end, I got the achievement and the completion, but my GOD the grind is real.

Just a gamer with an unhealthy addiction to achievements, fantasy booking WWE events and watching 90's teen comedies.
