15 Things We Learned At The PlayStation Experience 2016
9. Parappa The Rapper, LocoRoco & Patapon Are Getting Remastered
An announcement sure to make just about any PlayStation fan over the age of 25 squeal with nostalgic glee, Sony are releasing remastered versions of legendary rhythm game Parappa the Rapper as well as PSP titles LocoRoco and Patapon.
The former in particular was met with a huge fanfare from audiences, given the general affection for the outrageously daft game, and the fact that a demo was released immediately after the conference was finished.
To say it plays wonderfully is an understatement: the new 4K visuals are insanely crisp and provide plenty of confidence that the latter two titles will follow suit. It's just a shame they're still using the same 20-year-old FMV sequences for Parappa, because it really wouldn't cost much to reanimate them.
And hopefully if Parappa sells well enough, a whole new Parappa game? Please?
