15 Upcoming Games You NEED To Know About

4. Halloween

IllFonic

This is almost certainly one of the most known titles on this list but I would wager that a not insignificant portion of people have reacted the same way: “oh yeah, that’s happening”.

That might well be because the 4v1 horror genre has been very well tread in years past, but IllFonic are definitely the right team for the job. Having handled Predator: Hunting Grounds, Killer Clowns From Outer Space and Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed previously, they know both what they’re doing and how to excite the fanbase of iconic films.

Michael Myers is, of course, blueprint for slasher villains for decades to come, and the idea of getting behind the mask and being in control of the frights as you stalk around Haddonfield is great.

As the civilians, you’ll have to use household items to evade Myers and try to raise the alarm on help your allies as well as bring in the police to take down The Shape.

It’s probably not going to reinvent the wheel, but IllFonic and the original slasher villain feel like a perfect courtship.

Halloween is scheduled for an 8th September drop onto PC, PS5 and Xbox.
