The Buzz: The soft reboot of the beloved action adventure franchise blew the roof off the house at this year's E3, demonstrating a distinctly new style for the series, what with a behind-the-shoulder camera, bearded Kratos, addition of a buddy character in Kratos' son, crafting and RPG elements, and a fresh Norse mythology setting.

Though it's reasonable to be unsure about some of the changes made to a winning formula, what's been show off so far still looks to be in the gloriously violent, visually stunning vein of the prior entries.

As long as it retains the jaw-droppingly epic set-pieces of the previous games, then there's likely to be few qualms about the end product. Considering that the last core GoW game came way back in 2010, this has been long overdue.
