15 Video Games Everyone Expected To See At E3 2018
8. Splinter Cell
There have been persistent rumours of a new Splinter Cell game being in the works over at Ubisoft, especially with Ghost Recon Wildlands recently releasing a Splinter Cell mission and Walmart leaking its apparent existence. Their presser, however, sadly turned up nothing at all.
The series has been long overdue a new instalment, with the tepid commercial response to 2013's Splinter Cell: Blacklist apparently putting the franchise on the back-burner for a while.
Ubisoft's co-founder Yves Guillemot has made vague, non-committal references recently to Splinter Cell returning soon, but E3 nevertheless kept fans completely in the dark.
Will Ubi make everyone wait a whole year before finally revealing the new game at E3 2019, or will they exercise some mercy and possibly drop it at PSX or The Game Awards before year's end? Cross your fingers, toes and everything else you possibly can.
