12. Darkened Skye - Skittles

Darkened Skye is an interesting game. It showed so much promise that the developers wanted to completely disassociate it with Skittles midway through development yet everything was too far along for that to be feasible.

That's why the game isn't really marketed as an advergame and Skittles aren't even that prominent throughout.

You can use Skittles to perform magic as they are presented as the source of all wonder and colour in the world. This is basically all that Skittles are in the game, something to equip to gain magical powers. Darkened Skye itself is mostly just an above-average action game.

It is loosely based on some Skittles adverts set in a fantastical world but only very loosely.

Essentially the developers of the game wanted to create a fantasy game but were forced to make it about Skittles so they improvised. They made a game set in a fantasy world that had very little to do with the sweets but can technically be called a Skittles game, smart thinking.

Has a degree in video game development. Is kinda addicted to video games, television, and films. Probably needs some help, to be honest.
